Due to events in New York City and Washington DC, service in five East Coast Points of Presence (POPs) has been seriously affected. Two providers located near the World Trade Center were directly affected by these incidents and, consequently, our network has been experiencing problems.

The POPs affected are respectively:

New York, New Jersey, Connecticut: Power to Facilities is down due to damage in area. Sites are currently running on generator power however due to recovery operations occurring in the area, refueling attempts have been limited.

Syracuse and Buffalo: 32 DS-3s are currently down due damage to the Verizon facilities located 300 yards from the World Trade Center. We have working diligently with the providers to re-route traffic and find the quickest solution to the outages.

We have no ETR at this time, pending rescue operations. Updates will be posted to our network status page.

We apologize for the inconvenience that the outages may be causing you, and all of our efforts are devoted to bringing service back to normal during this difficult time.
